Cannibal Love
Today I have discovered my love for watercolours. Until now I've done most of my art digitally, but I dug out a set of watercolours I got for my birthday, which turned out to be really nice quality, unlike the crappy set I had before.
Because it's summer and I was at the Olympics yesterday and am now in an inspirational mood, I've been listening to M83 (who you have probably heard even if you haven't heard OF them, as their songs are played on pretty much everything). And it just so happens that my ultimate girl crush, Morgan Kibby, who is so awesome and pretty and has such a beautiful voice and is so versatile across genres and oh my god I love her, works with M83 a lot and does the vocals on a few of their songs. This painting is of a photo of her done for her solo project White Sea, though my favourite project of hers has to be The Romanovs, who are more dark cabaret and have a disproportionate number songs about murder, but classy murder.
